Swedish Sayings: Finns det hjärterum finns det stjärterum

It’s lockdown 2.0 here in the UK - and since we’re all squeezed in at home, this fun Swedish saying sprung to mind!

‘Finns det hjärterum så finns det stjärterum’ is a Swedish proverb that translates as ‘if there’s room for the heart, then there’s room for the bottom. The meaning is that if you’re good friends, then you’ll always find space - or if there’s a will there’s a way.

Our bilingual kids who’re learning Swedish abroad might not come across as many of these fun sayings very often, so I thought I’d create a cute colouring page that you can print off at home while chatting about space and bottoms (or tails!).
